Short Heath Playing Fields & Bleak Hill Park Two Wonderful Green Spaces

We aim to give families a place to be together and for a community to thrive

Short Heath Fields Trust (SHFT) successfully protected Short Heath Playing Fields from a planned housing development by Birmingham City Council, preserving this valuable green space for the community. Since then, the Trust has been dedicated to revitalising the area by reintroducing regular, free events for children and promoting local sports activities.

In addition, SHFT has proudly taken on the role of a “Friends of” group for both the Playing Fields and the neighbouring Bleak Hill Park, working to support, maintain, and enhance these green spaces for everyone to enjoy.

Old Schools Sports Day Date Announced

22nd of August 12-4pm

It`s back for 2026 bring you much more this year #. Including the fun of the egg & spoon race, sack race and the 3-legged race, as well as a soft archery, volleyball soft ball and more fun sports, a bouncy castle, stalls and of course the Wombles Tea Tent selling refreshments.

Summer Football Continues

SHFT are pleased to have the return of football with FC Elite for the whole of this summer.
